Privacy Policy

Quizzard (“we”, “us”) makes a trivia game for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your sign-in method (Apple, Google, email or guest), your email address if you provide one, your username, avatar or profile photo, and country.
  • Gameplay data: matches, answers, scores, ratings, levels, titles, achievements, friends, challenges and reports you send.
  • Device and usage data: app version, device type, crash reports and in-app events (for example “match finished”) used to keep the game working and improve it.
  • Advertising data: if you allow tracking, our ad partner (Google AdMob) may use your device’s advertising identifier to show personalized ads. If you decline, you’ll see non-personalized ads.
  • Purchases: if you buy “Remove Ads”, we store the store transaction ID to unlock it on your account. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google; we never see them.
  • Contacts (optional): if you tap “Find friends in contacts”, email addresses from your contacts are converted on your phone into one-way hashes and compared with hashes of our players’ emails. Your contacts are never uploaded or stored.

How we use it

To run matches and leaderboards, match you with players of similar skill, show your profile to other players (username, avatar, country, level, stats), send notifications you’ve allowed, prevent cheating and abuse, and improve the game.

What other players see

Your username, avatar or approved photo, avatar frame, country flag, levels, titles, ratings, achievements and recent match results. Uploaded photos are reviewed before other players can see them.

Service providers

We use Supabase (database and accounts), Google Firebase (analytics and crash reports), Google AdMob (ads), Expo (push notifications), and Apple / Google (sign-in and purchases). They process data only to provide these services.

Your choices

  • Turn notifications, tracking, contacts and photo access on or off in your device settings at any time.
  • Block or report any player from their profile.
  • Delete your account in the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and game data from our systems.

Children

Quizzard is rated for everyone but is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We’ll post updates to this page and change the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
